What is My New Home Spotlight™?

My New Home Spotlight™ is a free Builders Update search tool you can use on your website, within your email signature, on social media, and elsewhere. This tool creates a personalized version of the Builders Update search tool that is branded to you by including your logo, photo, and contact information.

How do I Create My New Home Spotlight™?

Access My New Home Spotlight™ from the My Tools Tab of Builders Update.

Select Get Started to begin the simple 3 step process.

1. Create your New Home Spotlight™ Link. This is the URL you will use to share your New Home Spotlight™ and the URL your clients will use for access. Consider the following tips carefully when creating your New Home Spotlight™ link:

  • Once created, you cannot change this. Pick something you can carry with you throughout your career no matter where you work.
  • Do not include web address details such as www, https, or .com. These details will automatically be added later.
  • Use letters and numbers only. Do not add spaces or special characters.

2. Upload or Confirm your Logo and Profile Photo. These images will be used to brand My New Home Spotlight™ to you and your business.

3. Select the Create My New Home Spotlight™ button.

Once created, use the URL to share this tool online. My New Home Spotlight™ can also be embedded on your website with the included Widget.

How do I add the My New Home Spotlight™ Widget to my Website?

After creating your New Home Spotlight™ URL, the option to create a Widget becomes available in the upper right-hand corner of the New Home Spotlight™ page. Select this button called Get Spotlight Widget.

1. Select your preferred Widget Icon. Options include a Tile, Banner, or Tower style.

2. Enter the email address you would like the widget sent to. This could be your own email address or the email address of your website creator.

3. Specify the dimensions of your widget. This will display a preview of how the widget will look.

4. Finally, select Mail Me My New Home Spotlight Snippet at the bottom of the page.
